Field Notes began with the house on the front page. It was my childhood home. A place of stories, memories and imagination.

I’m David Gravel. A writer and former professional photographer who has always been fascinated by people, places and the stories they leave behind.

This is my notebook for the things that catch my attention. Stories, creativity, conversations, memories, human behaviour, and the strange little details we usually walk past.
